Track store changes with Timeline

See every app update, metadata change, event and A/B test on one timeline next to estimated installs and revenue.

Updated September 30, 2026

Timeline puts your app's store history in one place: version updates, metadata and creative changes, in-app events, custom product pages and A/B tests, plotted against estimated installs and revenue. Use it to see what changed and whether it moved the numbers – for your app or a competitor.

Open Timeline

Open an app from My Apps and click Timeline in the app's top navigation.

The Version Timeline chart

The Version Timeline card shows estimated daily Revenue and Installs for the selected period. Vertical markers show the days something changed, for example "Icon changed", "Event started: …" or "Initial version published". Click a marker to jump to that change in the feed below.

Filters

  • Date range – the last 90 days by default.
  • Metadata Filters – choose which kinds of change to show: Initial Version, Custom Product Pages, In-app Events, A/B Tests, Video Preview, Screenshots, Icon, Metadata and Version. All except Version are on by default.
  • Compare competitor – pick a competitor to add its revenue and installs as dashed lines and switch the change feed to its history. Choose None to go back. This option only appears if your app has competitors.
  • Translate – translate metadata text in the feed.

The Changes & Events feed

Under Changes & Events, each card is a day with changes, newest first. The card shows the type of change and a short summary, like "Updated to version 2.4." or "Screenshots updated." Click a card to expand it:

  • App Updates – a Before / After comparison of what changed: title, subtitle, description, promotional text, version, size, video preview, screenshots, tablet screenshots or icon.
  • Events – events that are ongoing, starting or ending.
  • Custom Product Pages – pages active on that day, with when they were first and last seen.
  • A/B Tests – each variant, with its start and end dates or Ongoing.

If nothing changed in the period, you'll see "No changes during the selected time period."

After you publish new metadata, come back to Timeline to compare installs and revenue before and after the change. For keyword-level impact, use the Keyword Performance tab in Keyword Research.

Revenue and installs are estimates.
