What is AI Visibility?
Track how AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity mention, rank and describe your app or website compared with competitors.
Updated September 30, 2026
People increasingly ask AI assistants for recommendations instead of searching an app store or a search engine. AI Visibility shows you whether those assistants mention your app or website, how positively they describe it, which sources they rely on, and who they recommend instead of you.
How it works
- You add a project: a mobile app (from the App Store or Google Play) or a website.
- You choose the AI models to track and the prompts to check, the questions your customers actually ask (for example, "What is the best app to learn Spanish?").
- ASO Agent regularly sends each prompt to each selected model and stores every answer.
- Each answer is analysed: was your project mentioned, at what position, how favourably, which competitors appeared, and which web sources were cited.
The results feed the dashboard, prompt tracking, competitor comparison, sources and recommendations.
AI models you can track
Depending on your plan, you can track answers from:
| Model | Provider |
|---|---|
| ChatGPT | OpenAI |
| Gemini | |
| Perplexity | Perplexity |
| AI Mode | Google Search |
| AI Overviews | Google Search |
Your plan sets how many models you can select per project. In the Projects list, the models column shows which ones each project uses; hover an icon to see the exact models.
Workspaces and projects
AI Visibility has its own workspaces, separate from your ASO workspaces. Each workspace holds one or more projects. Use the workspace selector on the Home page to switch between them, or click Create Workspace to add a new one.
What you'll find in each project
Once you open a project, the tabs at the top take you to:
- Dashboard: Visibility, Favorability, mentions and top sources at a glance. See Read the AI Visibility dashboard.
- Prompt Tracking: results per prompt and per model. See Track and manage prompts.
- Answer History: every AI answer collected. See Browse answer history.
- Sources: the websites AI models cite. See Sources and citations.
- Competitors: how you compare. See Compare against competitors.
- Recommendations: actions to improve your visibility. See Act on recommendations.
- Website Data and Social: your site's crawlability and Reddit, YouTube and LinkedIn signals. See Website data and crawlability and Social signals.
- Query Fanouts: the background searches models run. See Query fan-outs.
Reports are under Insights > Reports in the side menu. See AI Visibility reports.
Get started
The Get started with AI Visibility checklist walks you through three steps:
- Add your app or brand: see Add an app or website.
- Choose the prompts to track: pick the questions your customers ask.
- Add a competitor: see who AI assistants recommend instead of you.
New prompts need time to be checked against the AI models. Until the first answers arrive, the dashboard shows "No data yet".
