Why does my Google Play connection stop syncing?

Google Cloud session limits can end the authorization. Here's how to prevent it and reconnect.

Updated September 30, 2026

The most common cause is a Google Cloud session length policy in your organisation's Google Workspace. When the session ends, Google revokes the authorization and the connection stops syncing until you reconnect.

To fix it now: go to Settings → Connections, click the edit (or Reconnect) icon on the Google Play Console card, and click Reconnect Account.

To prevent it: either connect with a Google account the session policy doesn't cover, or ask your Google Workspace admin to exempt ASO Agent in the Google Admin console:

  1. Security → Access and data control → App access control: mark ASOagent as Trusted.
  2. Security → Access and data control → Google Cloud session control: tick Exempt trusted apps.

If you see "Add your Play reports bucket" instead, the connection is fine but the optional reports location is missing — see Connect Google Play Console.
