The Insights section of the side menu holds market-wide tools that aren't tied to one of your apps: Top Charts, Creatives and Reporting. This article covers Top Charts. See Browse top creatives and Create and share reports for the others.
Top Charts
Top Charts has three pages: Top Charts, Top Ranked App and Ranking Details.
Top Charts
Browse the highest-ranked free, paid and grossing apps for a market and category.
- Choose the store (App Store or Google Play).
- Pick a Category and a Country.
- Optionally use Search for an app to find a specific app in the charts.
Apps are shown in three columns: Free Apps, Paid Apps and Top Grossing. Each card shows the rank, app name, developer, category, price, rating and number of ratings, plus a small App Authority gauge. Click an app to open it.
Top Ranked App
A world map showing which app holds the #1 position in each country for the chart and category you select.
- Choose the collection (Top Free, Top Grossing or Top Paid), the category and the store.
- Hover a country to see the top app, its category, rating and total ratings.
- Click a country to open that app's Store Preview for that country in a new tab.
Use Top Ranked App to spot markets where a single competitor dominates your category, and markets where the #1 spot changes hands.
Ranking Details
A full table of app rankings for the selected category, country, collection and store.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| App Name | The app's title and subtitle. |
| Rank | Its position in the chart. |
| Authority | Its App Authority score – overall store strength and visibility. |
| Ratings | Its ratings. |
| Niche | The app's main niche. |
| Secondary niches | Other niches the app belongs to. |
Use Search for an app to filter the table.
