Store Preview overview

See your app's store listing next to competitors, switch country and language, manage competitors and read the Metadata tab.

Updated September 30, 2026

Store Preview is the first page you see when you open an app. It shows how the app's listing looks in the store for a given country and language, side by side with your competitors, and gives you quick links into performance, keywords and ratings.

The app header

The header at the top of every app page shows:

  • App details – icon, title, subtitle and developer.
  • Category rank – for each of the app's categories, its current rank (for example #12) or Unranked in the selected country.
  • Store toggle – switch between the App Store and Google Play version of the same app. A store button is disabled if no matching app exists in the other store.
  • Country and language menu – pick a country from All Countries (or search with Search...), then one of that country's languages. The page reloads with the new market, and the selection carries over when you switch tabs.
  • Generate ASO – start an AI metadata generation (see Generate metadata with AI). If you're viewing an app that isn't in your workspace, you'll see Add to workspace instead.

If the app isn't available in the market you picked, a warning icon shows "This app is not available in the selected country" and ASO Agent switches back to the last market that worked.

Competitors

Under the header, a row of icons shows your app followed by its competitors.

  • Click icons to choose which apps are compared on the current tab.
  • Hover an icon to see a mini-card for that app.
  • Click + (Add competitor) to open Add competitors. Pick apps from Recommended or Top in Category, or search the store by app name, then click Save competitors. The number of competitors you can add depends on your plan.
  • To remove a competitor, hover its icon and click the small x. The competitor is removed right away.

On some tabs (like In-App Events and Custom Product Pages), apps that have data for that tab get a highlighted ring.

Text cards

Each field (Title, Subtitle, Long description, Hidden Keywords) has its own card with the character count and:

  • Total Volume – the combined volume of all keywords found inside that field.
  • Potential – a score for how optimized the field is, shown as a gauge of Volume, Difficulty and Score.
  • Core Keywords – the main keywords found in the field. For the description, each also shows its density. Click a keyword to see its metric history.

Use the Highlight extracted keywords in text switch to highlight those keywords in the text.

Hidden keywords (the App Store keyword field) aren't public. To see yours, connect your app to App Store Connect – click Connect my app in the Hidden Keywords card.

On the Metadata tab, a collapsible Store Preview sidebar shows a phone mock-up of the listing, Release Details (current version, last update, release date, file size) and your Core Keywords. Click Open details to see all core keywords for the title, subtitle and description.
