Connect Google Play Console

Authorize ASO Agent with your Google account, then optionally add your Play reports location to track organic downloads.

Connecting Google Play Console lets ASO Agent sync your metadata, reviews, releases and performance signals, upload screenshots and run experiments. You authorize once with Google — there are no keys to generate, download or paste.

Before you start

Use an account without a session limit. If your organisation enforces a Google Cloud session length, the connection stops syncing once the session ends and has to be reconnected. Either sign in with an account that policy doesn't cover, or exempt ASO Agent in the Google Admin console:

Security → Access and data control → App access control: mark ASOagent as Trusted.
Security → Access and data control → Google Cloud session control: tick Exempt trusted apps.

Step 1: Authorize with Google

Go to Settings → Connections.
On the Google Play Console card, click Integrate (or Add account).
Click Connect Account — a new tab opens on Google.
Sign in and review the requested permissions, then click Allow.
The tab closes itself. Back in ASO Agent, click Continue.

If your browser blocks the new tab, allow pop-ups for ASO Agent and click Try authorization again.

Step 2: Add your reports location (optional)

Google publishes Play Console statistics reports to Cloud Storage only, and no Google API exposes where they are — so you copy the location once. This lets ASO Agent track organic downloads from Play Store search and explore alongside your App Store numbers.

Open Play Console and go to Download reports → Statistics.
Pick any app, then click Copy Cloud Storage URI.
Paste it into Cloud Storage URI or developer account ID in ASO Agent. Your developer account ID (from Developer account → About you) works too.
Click Verify and Continue.

You can click Skip for now and add it later. Access to the reports bucket is read-only.

When you see Connection Successful!, you're done.

Reconnect or change the reports location

In Active integrations, click the edit icon on the Google Play Console card.
Click Reconnect Account to re-authorize, or Skip — only change the reports location to update just the reports step.

Security

We store only the access Google grants us — never your Google password. You can delete the connection at any time from Settings → Connections, or revoke access from your Google account.
