Generate metadata with AI

ASO Generation writes new store metadata for your app with AI. It analyzes your app and competitors, scores keywords and generates an optimized title, subtitle and (on the App Store) hidden keywords for each language you choose. It can also write a long description and What's new text. The number of generations you can run depends on your plan.

Before you start

• The app must be in your workspace. See Add your first app.
• Connecting App Store Connect or Google Play Console is optional for generating, but ASO Agent can then import your current metadata (including App Store hidden keywords) for better optimization. You'll need the connection to publish.

Step 1: Open Generate ASO

Click Generate ASO in the app header. You'll also find it on the ASO Generation page of a language, including when a language has no generations yet.

The dialog walks you through four steps: Select App, Select Languages, Select Generation and Done. A Summary panel on the right shows your choices and an estimated time to complete.

Step 2: Select App

1. Check that the right workspace app is selected.
2. App Store only: add your hidden keywords, separated by commas (up to 100 characters). If the app is connected to App Store Connect, they're imported for you.
3. Click Next.

Step 3: Select Languages

Choose the markets (App Store) or languages (Google Play) you want to target.

• App Store: each language row has country flags. Click the first flag to target that language. Click other flags to add connected countries – extra locales that share the same generation.
• Google Play: click a language to select it.

Optionally, add Negative keywords – comma-separated keywords you want to exclude from this generation.

Step 4: Select Generation

Choose what to generate:

• Core Metadata (Required for ASO) – Title and Subtitle (at least one is required). On the App Store, Hidden Keywords are always generated with them for consistency.
• What's new (Optional) – add details about your update, and ASO Agent writes the release notes.
• Additional content (Optional) – Long Description.

Click Generate.

Step 5: Wait for results

You'll see "Your ASO is now being generated!" Click Finish. Generation usually takes a few minutes per language; you can leave the page and you'll be notified when it's done.

On the ASO Generation page, each language has its own tab. A spinner means a generation is in progress, and a green dot means generated metadata is available. The Worldwide tab compares your live metadata across every language.

Open a language to see its ASO History – every generation for that locale, newest first. Click one to review it.

The Worldwide tab

Worldwide compares your live Title, Subtitle, Keywords or Long Description across all store languages:

Column	How to read it
Characters	Characters used out of the limit. Red means over the limit.
Words	Words and comma-separated terms.
Search Volume	Combined search volume of the keywords in the field: High, Medium or Low.
Score	How well the field targets that locale's keywords. Higher is better.

Use Export to download the table as CSV or XLSX. It's a quick way to find languages worth generating first.
