Plan limits and the upgrade prompt
What happens when a feature isn't in your plan or you've reached a limit, and how to upgrade from the prompt.
Updated September 30, 2026
When you try to use something your current plan doesn't cover, ASO Agent shows an upgrade prompt instead of an error. This article explains the two kinds of prompt and what to do next.
"Not in your plan"
If a feature isn't included in your plan — or you don't have a subscription for that module yet — you'll see a prompt labelled NOT IN YOUR PLAN. For whole pages, the page itself is replaced with a plan selection screen.
Examples:
- ASO generation is not in your plan. Pick a plan to generate titles, subtitles and keywords.
- Keyword research is not in your plan.
- AI visibility is not in your plan.
"Limit reached"
If the feature is in your plan but you've used your full allowance, the prompt is labelled LIMIT REACHED. It shows how much you've used and what the next plan offers. Examples:
- Adding an app when you've reached the number of apps in your plan.
- Adding more competitors, keywords, prompts or AI models than your plan allows.
- Running more ASO generations, reports or review replies than your monthly allowance.
- Choosing a date range further back than your plan's months of historical data.
Some limits are checked before you finish — for example, the Done button in the add-app window is disabled with the message "You have reached the maximum number of apps for your plan."
What to do from the prompt
- Click Upgrade to [plan] (or Start with [plan] if you don't have a plan yet) to go straight to checkout.
- Click Compare all plans → to see every plan side by side.
- If you're on a free trial, Pay now and unlock ends the trial and applies the full plan limits right away.
Monthly allowances (such as ASO generations or reports per month) are counted within your subscription period.
If a limit is blocking you, you can also free up room — for example by removing an app or competitor you no longer need.
