Track and manage prompts
Add the questions your customers ask AI assistants, see how each prompt performs per model, and pause or edit prompts.

Prompts are the questions ASO Agent sends to AI models on your behalf, such as "What's the best budgeting app for couples?". Every AI Visibility metric is built from the answers to your prompts, so choosing good prompts is the most important part of the setup.
Add a prompt
- Open your project and go to the Prompt Tracking tab.
- Click Add Prompt.
- Select models: choose which AI models this prompt should run on.
- Add your prompt: write a clear, specific prompt and press Enter or click Add prompt. You can add several at once, or tick ideas under Suggested prompts ("Get inspired by examples from similar projects"). Click Refresh for new suggestions.
- Review: check the list and click Add prompt (or Add n prompts).
The number of prompts you can track depends on your plan and counts across all your AI Visibility workspaces. The Prompts Used counter in the project header shows how many you've used.

Prompt Tracking shows how visible and favourably your project is mentioned for every tracked prompt, across each AI model.
- Model cards: one card per model with its number of answers, Visibility, Favorability, Mentions and Avg. Rank. Models queried through their API are marked API.
- Visibility / Favorability chart: each model's results day by day. Filter by Prompt to focus on a single question.
- Mentions per Model: compare mentions across AI models.
- Prompts by Model: a table of every prompt with a result per model. Switch the metric with the toggle:

| Mentions | How many times your project was mentioned across each model's answers for this prompt. |
| Avg. Rank | Average position your project holds in the answers for this prompt on each model. Lower is better. |
Look for prompts where one model mentions you and another doesn't. Then check that model's answers in Answer History and the Sources it cites.
Manage prompts
Click Manage Prompts in the project header to see every prompt tracked for the project, the models it runs against, and how many answers it has collected.
- Search prompts and filter by All, Active or Inactive.
- Is Tracking: switch a prompt off to stop checking it without losing its history. Switch it back on to resume.
- Active Models: the models the prompt runs on.
- Answers: how many answers have been collected.
- Edit prompt (in Actions): change the wording or the models, then click Save changes.
Answers already collected stay attached to a prompt when you edit it, so a large rewrite makes its history harder to compare. For a very different question, add a new prompt instead.
Click Back to Prompt Tracking to return.
How often prompts are checked
Tracked prompts are re-checked automatically at a regular interval (daily by default). Paused prompts are not checked.
